STEM WITH POOL NOODLES?
This activity is going to require...A little fun in the sun! Around this time second graders should be familiar with or starting to get familiar with measurements. So, the first step to this activity will be to measure each noodle with a ruler to 4-5 inches and cut it into several pieces with some safety scissors. The next step would be to just hand the children a few toothpicks and the now several noodle pieces. They're job is to build or connect the pool noodles like Legos, to create their own architecture. This activity is very simple and easy to do and can be changed and redone over and over again. This is definitely a good activity for over the summer, to keep the children entertained and engaged for a while!
